## Status control

**STATUS CONTROL** chips — see [Unit status](/mobile/unit-status).

## Quick log actions

| Action                 | Purpose                                                             |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **NCIC QUERY**         | Open NCIC query workspace (person, vehicle, firearm, article, boat) |
| **LOG PAPER SERVICE**  | Log paper service event                                             |
| **LOG BUSINESS CHECK** | Log business check                                                  |

**NCIC QUERY** stays visible even when your agency or user is not authorized for live NCIC. In that case the chip appears dimmed; tapping it shows:

`NCIC access is not enabled for either your agency or your user, contact your administrator`

Training mode still enables NCIC for practice queries without live CJIS access.

## Tips

* Set **AVAILABLE** here when starting shift.
* Use panels for situational awareness — not a substitute for dispatch radio.
* **SYSTEM HEALTH** helps field IT triage without calling support blind.

## Warnings

<Warning>Dashboard metrics may lag if **WS OFFLINE** — check connectivity.</Warning>
