Dispatch and mobile impact
Common mistakes
- Enabling NCIC without org CJIS configuration — the agency-level toggle is only half of the requirement; org CJIS routing must also be set up.
- Enabling unit-login gating without shift procedures — officers will wait after sign-in until dispatch logs them onto a staffed unit. Confirm F2 unit-login procedures before enabling this agency-wide.
- Changing report format after numbers are issued — historical records reference the old format; the mismatch complicates reconciliation.
- Assuming separate copies exist — mobile and Dispatch CAD read the same agency settings; there are no separate configuration copies to keep in sync.
