Open

Sidebar NCIC Search If NCIC is not enabled for your agency or user, NCIC Search remains visible but dimmed. Tapping it shows: NCIC access is not enabled for either your agency or your user, contact your administrator While access is still loading, tapping may show a short “checking access” message instead. Training mode enables NCIC practice queries without live CJIS access.

Article / serial query

ARTICLE / SERIAL QUERY fields:
  • SERIAL NUMBER (required)

Boat query

BOAT QUERY fields:
  • REGISTRATION NUMBER and/or HULL ID (HIN) — at least one required
In training mode, serials or boat identifiers containing STOLEN return sample stolen hits; otherwise you get a no-record style response.

Responses

The RESPONSES tab keeps feedback for each submitted query. A second query does not replace a query that is still pending. Tap a completed response to open its result:
  • Parsed shows structured person, driver, vehicle, warrant, firearm, article, or boat information.
  • Raw shows the authoritative CJIS response. It is displayed on screen only and is never included in a spoken summary.
  • Photo appears when an authorized DOR photo is available. A missing or invalid photo does not hide the parsed or raw result.
DOR responses distinguish Suspended, Revoked, No Operators, Valid, and Unknown. Warrant and returned protection-order indicators appear separately from the overall hit/no-hit status.
The MDT can display a protection-order indicator returned in a response. It does not provide a separate Ex Parte or Order of Protection submission form.
Actions on results (availability varies):
  • ISSUE CITATION, ISSUE WARNING, CREATE FIR
  • REFRESH, LISTEN, PRINT PACKET, VIEW DETAILS

Voice summaries

Enable CJIS result summaries in Settings — see Voice alerts. Spoken summaries may announce approved high-level information such as hit/no-hit, suspended or revoked status, or a warrant/protection indicator. They never read raw CJIS text, personal identifiers, addresses, or photo data aloud.

In-call queries

Person/vehicle QUERY buttons also appear on call detail cards.

Requirements

Agency State/NCIC Access and user authorization in Web Admin. Live results are cleared when your organization or session changes. Training responses remain separate from live CJIS responses. Criminal history queries are not available on mobile.

Warnings

CJIS policy applies on mobile same as desktop — official use only. Do not copy, share, or read raw CJIS results over an open or unencrypted channel.
