Use Notification health when assignment or emergency alerts are missing on Android or iPhone. The screen shows what the phone is allowing, which alert channels are on, and whether this build can register for background push. Push is a wake-up alert only. It does not replace radio, and it is not the CAD call record.

Open notification health

  1. Sign in to Mobile CAD.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. In NOTIFICATIONS, tap Notification health.
After sign-in, the app may ask Allow notifications. Not now does not block sign-in or dispatch. You can allow later from this screen or from the phone’s settings.

What the screen shows

If Firebase configuration is not installed, local banners can still appear while the app is running. Background push will not work until Cadmus support installs a build that includes those files.

Allow notifications later

  1. Open Notification health.
  2. Tap Allow notifications and accept the phone prompt.
  3. Or tap Open system settings and turn notifications on for Cadmus.
Denying permission does not sign you out and does not stop you from seeing assigned calls in the app.

Safety channels disabled

If a safety channel is off, the screen lists it and offers Open channel settings. Turn these back on or you may miss:
  • New call assignments
  • Status checks from dispatch
  • Emergency alerts
Chat messages are not a safety channel.

Tips

  • If Android works and iPhone does not, contact Cadmus support. Apple push still requires the agency’s Apple setup.
  • After changing phone notification settings, reopen Notification health so the status refreshes.
  • Push and SMS are independent. An administrator can turn SMS off and still leave mobile alerts on.

Warnings

A disabled assignment, status-check, or emergency channel can hide alerts while the app is in the background. Do not leave those channels off during a shift.
