Master Names lookup
Cadmus keeps a Master Names index for your organization so you can look up people when adding them to a call. Search uses Cadmus data only — it does not depend on Oasis being online. What you can do
- Open Add person on a new or existing call.
- Use Master name lookup.
- Enter at least two characters of first or last name (or both).
- Select a result to fill name, DOB, sex (Gender), and related fields when known.
What you will see
Results can include:- Name and middle name
- Date of birth
- Sex (applied to Gender on the person when you select a match)
- SSN (full or masked, based on your permissions)
- Driver’s license and state when known
- City / last known location
- Last seen information
SSN display
- If you have permission to view full SSN, the complete number can appear on the result.
- Otherwise you see a masked value such as
***-**-6789. - Full SSN searches and views are audited. Cadmus never puts full SSNs in ordinary application logs.
Oasis
If your agency also uses Oasis, Cadmus can receive Oasis names in the background. Oasis being down does not turn off Master Name search. An Oasis ID on a result is optional metadata only.Mobile MDT
Officers on the mobile app use the same Cadmus-only Master Name search (top 5) when adding a person to a call. Selecting a match can fill Gender from sex on the Master Name.Notes
- Adding or updating a person on a call may update the Master Names index shortly afterward (asynchronous).
- Ambiguous matches are not automatically merged.
- Master Names are shared across agencies in your organization.
